A's Win Nail-Biter, 4-3 Published May 24, 2011 - 2:30 PM
DELANO, MN - On Wednesday evening the Athletics managed to win a nail-biter over the Rogers Red Devils, 4-3.
After taking a week off the A's looked a little rusty at the plate and finished with just 2 hits in the ball game.
On Sunday, May 22 the A's were scheduled to play host to the Loretto Larks, but inclement weather postponed the game and the game has been rescheduled for Thursday, May 26, at 7:30 p.m. in Delano. This will be the first of three meetings between the North Star League East rivals.
Loretto is led by a strong nucleus of players, including shortstop Kent Koch (PICTURED) who just completed a successful career at St. Cloud State University. The Athletics have struggled early in the 2011 season, but look to get off the schneid as they welcome a former Loretto Lark to the roster, Joey Althoff.
