In 2014, Eilen enters his 12th season as Manager of the Delano Athletics. Eilen graduated from Delano High School and was a member of the Tigers baseball team that finished second in the 1982 Class A State Tournament.  

Following high school, Eilen spent three years with the Army Rangers in the Light Infantry Unit, stationed at FT Lewis in Washington state.

Eilen attended St. Thomas University in St. Paul and was a member of the baseball team. Eilen was an outfielder and catcher for the Athletics as his career spanned 16 seasons, which included a 1988 Class C first place finish.

Active in the community, Eilen resides in Delano and is current president of the Delano Athletic Club and member of the Delano 4th of July Committee.
